GD Energy Products (GDEP) has improved the production capacity of its state-of-the-art plunger remanufacturing program, which is designed to lower operational costs and reduce environmental waste.
As a premier market leader in the manufacturing, service and repair of high-pressure pumps and related consumables in the upstream energy market, GDEP has heavily invested in upgrading equipment and processes to improve capacity of its plunger remanufacturing service, where old plungers are made good as new.
The program recycles used plungers and returns them to like-new condition through a convenient, turnkey process. From field collection to replenishment, customers can receive like-new plungers with an OEM quality finish at a significantly reduced cost.
This service is available to customers in the field, allowing convenient recycling access and encouraging more sustainable operations.
Brett Walters, GDEP’s Director of Operations - Consumables, said, “GDEP remanufactures most brands of frac plungers. This service involves a proprietary plunger coating process, which provides the plungers with a hard, durable surface capable of enduring significant wear and tear. By bringing these used plungers to like-new condition, we are not only providing a lower cost option for our customers, we are enabling a process of plunger recycling and reducing waste to the environment.”
