GDEP's 2021 Metal Recycling Program Results: Expanding Our Environmental Impact through Teamwork

As part of GD Energy Products’ 2021 multi-facility metal recycling program, our teams recycled 10,713,708 pounds of metal between six of our facilities.

GDEP strives to increase sustainability in our operations and improve opportunities to serve the communities in which we live. Because of our team members’ diligence, waste has been reduced in landfills, natural resources are less polluted, and economic benefits have been achieved from jobs focused on recycling and processing metals.

Sommer Warren, GDEP’s HSE manager, said, “With GDEP’s new recycling initiatives, we are expending less energy than a new product manufactured from virgin materials. Metal purchasing costs are reduced, so we are not only saving money in our operations but also providing our customers with more cost-effective options.”

Warren added, “I appreciate all of our team members’ hard work and dedication to reduce our environmental footprint while achieving more sustainable goals for GDEP.”

GDEP is dedicated to incorporating sustainable programs into our daily operations. Learn more about our commitment to ESG:
